Can the Main Character Be Funny? (Holly Schindler)

I was recently asked: Why is the funny character so often the side character? And to go along with that...can your main character be the funny one? (Spoiler alert: absolutely.) In this video, I explore a little of the history of the funny side character and why that side character lends itself to humor. I also explore two scenarios in which humor is actually essential for a main character, with a couple of easily-recognizable examples. (These aren't necessarily MG examples, but the principle still applies.)
