Every novel, poem, and spoken story is proof of imagination.

Every piece of music or song is the product of imagination.

Every statue, sculpture, pottery piece, painting, watercolor, crayon coloring, etc. is a work of imagination. So is a fashion runway show, an invention, a knitted blanket, an artfully arranged vase of flowers, a planned garden.

Every time we walk in the woods and think we hear a fairy in the brush, or see a ghost in the shadows of a dark room, or make a sandcastle at the beach, our imagination is working.

As philosopher, composer, and writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau quipped:

"The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless."

We survive because of our imagination. It brings us joy, comfort, an explanation for our fear, hope, solutions to problems, and ultimately, meaning and context to our life whether we are a two-year-old scribbling with a purple crayon, an amateur photographer at 16, or a 92-year-old novelist.

Imagination.... everyone has it. Use it, don't lose your superpower.
